Abstract

This study is based on two aspects: The first: to determine the significance of (I do not swear) among the interpreters, where they present their statements, discuss their evidence, and highlight the subject of the dispute and its causes. The second: Determining the most correct saying in the significance of (I do not swear), And that is through adjusting the Preference methodology for this issue, which is based on extracting the correct methodological steps that the interpreters adopted in their Preferences, and then using all these steps in deriving the significance of the formula (I do not swear), in addition to a basic step that was not used by the interpreters, which is the study of the overall context For those positions, and the study concluded a new saying in this issue which is that the formula (I do not swear) is an eloquent style intended to achieve two purposes at the same time, the first: affirming the oath to confirm major metaphysical and human facts. The second: denying that the oath has achieved this purpose because there are contraindications among those who deny these facts that have been indicated by the context, and this explains to the deniers why they remain in the circle of denial, despite the clarity of the evidence.
