Abstract

The study aims at listing the Quranic verses which include denial of fear and grieve as in the Holy verse: "On them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve". It will then classify them, study their contexts, draw their connections and complementarities, and show how the Holy Qur’an managed to portray these two elements (Fear and Grieve) as positive factors in building a Muslim’s personality and achieving self- transcendence. As soon as Adam, peace be upon him, and his offspring descended into the world of obligations, Almighty Allah blessed them by sending His messengers and scriptures, and accordingly, people were classified into Muslims and believers, loyal devotees of the adherents of previous religions, Mutasadqoun (those who give charity), Mujahidoun, martyrs, pious and reformers. They all agree that the happiness of both worlds (present life and the life after) will not be achieved except by wholly following the Islamic religion.
