Abstract

The study aimed to highlight and clarify the contributions of Abdul Sattar Abu Ghuddah that enriched Islamic banking thought in the field of Islamic sukuk and investment funds. Adopting the descriptive-analytical method, the study reached several findings, the most important of which is that Abu Ghuddah devoted significant attention to Islamic sukuk and investment funds and their role in investment, formulating the rules and policies that ensure their proper implementation in accordance with Sharia. He considered them as an alternative to conventional bonds and as an important and modern instrument for mobilizing small savings and channeling them into large investment projects. The study recommends benefiting from Abu Ghuddah’s views in the practical application of Islamic sukuk and investment funds.
