Objectives: The study aims to highlight a form of interaction between Islamic jurisprudence and Arabic linguistics, specifically between the disciplines of Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and Nahw (Arabic syntax). The study seeks to demonstrate the impact of certain particles, examining their functional roles in structuring and deriving legal rulings, by analyzing selected issues of purity from Al-Tajrid by Abu Al-Husayn Al-Qaddouri.
Method: The study employs an inductive-analytical approach, focusing on selected issues within the book of purity. These issues are framed within the context of the Arabic particles and their influence on shaping syntactic meaning according to their contextual nuances.
Results: The study concluded, among several results, that the variation in legal rulings on issues within Al-Tajrid between the Hanafi and Shafi'i schools of thought is largely attributed to differences in syntactic interpretations of particles according to contextual clues. These particles impose restrictions on syntactic structure, resulting in a richness of meaning within Qur'anic texts, diversifying interpretations and accommodating differing opinions to ease religious practice and reduce hardship.
Conclusion: Certain particles, as restrictive components, play an active role in shaping jurisprudential rulings derived from the Qur'an and Sunnah. They introduce interpretive differences due to their potential meanings, allowing them to influence or color the meaning, guiding it within the structure and context.
