Topics Describing the Battle in the Poetry of Islamic Conquests: A Thematic Study

This study aims to clarify the themes describing battles in Arabic poetry during the period of the Islamic conquests as that period witnessed a poetic movement that accompanied the conquests of Muslims in all countries. There were poets composed by poets who had previously said poetry and organized it. On the other hand, there were poems that were appeared by poets who were uttered because of the Islamic conquests, and those poems were within a religious and descriptive context of Muslim wars in the conquests. These conquests had a prominent impact in enriching all fields of study and research, as scholars of history dealt with them from a historical perspective, and researchers also dealt
with them in other aspects such as the religious, intellectual, and political aspects, among others. In the field of literature, these conquests affected the field of literature with the poems that were said during that period, and in these poems, content that corresponds to the teachings of religion and Islamic belief emerged, as poets represented them in the course of describing the course of the battles that the Muslims carried their banner, and accordingly, this study is concerned with addressing the topics of poets' description for the battle in the Islamic conquests, where these topics centered on urging jihad, asking for martyrdom, describing weapons of combat in its various forms, describing horses, describing leaders and fighters, and the course of the battle.
